【內容簡介】：

   主人翁Ally Mcbeal是個神經質的律師，會唸書，會打官司，但是就是不太懂人事。《甜心俏佳人》的第一期非常好看，觀眾對Ally非常同情，她是一個好孩子，從小青梅竹馬的男友因為實在不能接受學業不如她所以轉學，她又好強留在哈佛，心理上從此有了個陰影。剛剛參加工作時又被老闆性騷擾了一把，一氣之下辭職去了一個同學開的小律師事務所，誰知道第一眼就看到藕斷絲連的初戀情人也在同一個辦公室，故事由此展開。觀眾抱著同情心看主人翁在男女問題上遭受的所有誤會，但是說老實話，到了第六集，你就開始討厭這個沒有任何解藥的女律師。她固執、霸道、永遠拿著道德文明的大棍子打人，實在是一個非常不討人喜歡的女人，這種角色最討好的是對男人有一定偏見和仇恨的女人。劇的另外一個缺陷是這裡面的人物沒有像《六人行》裡面那麼誇張，又沒有《慾望城市》裡面那麼真實，所有人物的心理活動和劇的故事情節都是非常老練的電視劇寫手按照一定的成功規律寫的：這兒該打架了，這兒該親嘴了，這兒再摔點小包袱。基本上看了六期之後就沒有什麼驚喜了。

   Ally McBeal在美國也是受到相當多觀眾的喜愛，每到九月份，美國電視界總會推出近50部的新節目，因此，每年也只有6-10個節目能從多如過江之鯽的節目單中脫穎而出，而Ally McBeal便是這稀有的少數之一。生動自然的演技，使得其能在1997年底在福斯電視網上映後，立刻受到全美近二千萬戶觀眾的喜愛，成為該季的冠軍新片；除與急診室的春天、辛普森家庭等名劇相提並論外，同時亦在1998年一月贏得金球獎『最佳喜劇影集』、『最佳女主角』雙項大獎。
