      10集幻想冒險劇《哨站》是CW自2005年開通以來播出的首部全長夏季故事劇，
以前CW的《洛城公寓》《愛上朋友媽》等夏季劇集都是半小時劇集。
該劇由參與《星際之門》電影版創作的Dean Devlin和參與《星際之門 SG-1》電視劇版創作的
Jonathan Glassner共同打造，這也是他們職業生涯中第一次正式合作。他們對該劇的遠景規劃為：
「《權力的遊戲》與《神奇女俠》的結合體」。這個項目主要面向國際電視市場
（在美國之外由Syfy頻道負責播出），因此不大可能是什麼大成本、大場景的劇集。
該劇的實際編劇為 Jason Faller 和 Kynan Griffin。

故事描述強勢女英雄Talon（Jessica Green）小時候生活的村莊遭到一群僱傭兵殘忍屠殺，
她是「黑血」（Blackbloods）種族唯一的倖存者。多年後她追蹤殺害家人的兇手
來到一座位於文明世界邊緣的、沒有任何法紀的堡壘。在此過程中，她發現自己身上
有某種神秘的超自然力量，她必須學會控制它，否則她性命難保。
另一方面，她還必須擊敗一個狂熱宗教的獨裁統治者（Andrew Howard），保護全世界。
Jake Stormoen、Imogen Waterhouse、Michael Flynn、Anand Desai-Barochia、Philip Brodie
和 Robyn Malcolm 參與演出。
