i using ubuntu 9.04 on my notebook
use easy paesy on my eeepc netbook and
installed ubuntu 8.04 edition w/ window xp on another notebook

this is good operating system

功能和 Windows XP 不相伯仲，且某些项目比Windows 先进得多。

I use Ubuntu 9.10 on my notebook, Ubuntu 10.04 netbook edition on eeePC

用着ubuntu10.04了，有时候觉得想放弃windows，不过又不可以，因为要用迅雷还有玩电脑游戏。ubuntu是一个很不错的OS!

The latest version is 10.10.
IT'S THE BEST ALL AROUND SERVER (lamp). VERY EASY TO SETUP FOR THE SERVER.
FOR SERVER, GET THE SERVER VERSION + WEBMIN AND THIS WILL GET YOU STARTED...
YOU MAY ALSO WANT TO INSTALL MC ( MIDNIGHT COMMANDER).
FOR THE DESKTOP VERSION, I WILL GO WITH KUBUNTU.

其实一些live cd比如knoppix相当不错，可惜官方缺少中文支援。这样看汉字会乱码。。

我在 Windows 7 Home Premium x64 裡用 VirtualBox 嚟裝咗 Ubuntu Desktop 10.10 做 guest OS。
亦都用一部舊機裝咗 Ubuntu Desktop 9.04 俾我媽咪用，姖淨係上網 check 吓 email，無其他。諗住遲吓都會改裝 10.10 架喇。

我覺得幾好用，介面都唔錯呀。絕大部份軟件都唔駛錢，抵玩啦。

我用Ubuntu 10。10在Core 2 Dual, 2.4GHZ, 4GB RAM.
基本上还不错的，上网或下载时用Ubuntu，速度还蛮快的也有防毒作用（跟Windows和Mac比较，因为我公司有MAC）。
做Graphic时用Virtual Box里的Windows（1.5GB RAM，20GBHarddisk space）. Multi Tasking时会比较慢。

本人建议有要是要更好发挥的话，核心改用i5或是i7。

Ubuntu is brilliant guys, now using 10.10 to post this message as the matter of fact, certainly no virus, easy to maintain as long as you have some general computer knowledge, the people who hates ubuntu is because they don't even know operating systems other than Windows, there are so many different distros out there for Linux, if you want to have more a Windows like OS, try KDE versions of Linux such as Kubuntu or Fedora KDE. you will be amazed how much you can do without being illegally pirating windows / microsoft or other software, being legal and amazing software/packages for free!!!!!! virus free too!!!!!

感觉Linux在大文件的读写方面有速度优势，尤其计算出来那种上G的文件。

very good stuff for advanced user. You can use USB to boot up (without installation) a Ubuntu OS in case of windows failure.

Using Ubuntu with Rebbecca version, it is a must to replace all "TV BOX Windows system", easy to use and no need to instal Window Office, it provided all function as "Office". Don't bother to waste time on false WIN copies, its free and AAA+++

ubuntu 16.04 usb version , easy to use , just plugin any computer ,
and boot up from ubuntu pendrive , small and easy...
bundle with LIBRE OFFICE SUITE same as ms office but free ,
I use it for more than 10 years , so far so good...
one more thing , easy to clean pendrive virus which
infected virus under windows platform ...
