BMW’s Bruno Spengler has been stripped of pole position, following an incorrect tyre allocation between Q3 and Q4 at Oschersleben, reports Motorsport-Total.com.5 v* \. j5 y' m5 N+ d3 p1 P* M
The Schnitzer driver was found to have used a slick tyre in Q3, that was designated for the Q4 pole shoot out.* @% R3 u+ a0 x# U/ M
The DTM rules state tyres saved for Q4 cannot be used in another part of qualifying or the race.tvb now,tvbnow,bttvb: \& f3 s* C* c& r0 L
As a result, the reigning DTM champion will take a five-place grid drop, which will see him demoted to sixth on the grid.
# Q# }& e/ T! _Jamie Green will now take his maiden Audi career pole, ahead of Augusto Farfus and Mike Rockenfeller, who round out the top-three.
