If the trade happens before season starts, he will more likely end up in one of the eastern conference team.  Trading Kevin Love to other western conference team will make it even harder for Minnesota next year playoff.  It would be better if this ends up a "sign and trade" because Kevin Love might still opt out from the contract after next season.  The only possibility that Kevin Love being traded to another western conference team is close to the trade deadline in mid season so Minnesota can get the remaining value from this player.
