[疑難求助] New iMac or MacBook Pro

I want to buy either New iMac or MacBook Pro. The New iMac is very cool and fast. The MacBook Pro is very handy.
Hand to make a choice.

Thx. I don't travel a lot but even at home u always want to walk around with your computer on hand. I likes iMac because it really powerful and high resolution. When u watch photos or movie, it is so beautiful. However, u cannot sit in one place for a whole day.

Macbook pro + external display would be a good combo
Go for MacBook Pro Retina Display!
hm.. did you consider macbook air?
Performance of the macbook air is quite reasonable for light to moderate usage. Weight wise it is super light and so much cheaper than the Macbook pro retina display
I will choose pro just simply because it looks cooler.
If Macbook Pro is your choice, you better look at 15" and above as the cpu and gpu is better. Unless you are just using it for handling documents, surfing of net and maybe do a bootcamp. iMac is good but not portable.
If you ever have the need to move your computer and have enough budget, go for rMBP 15".
It's fairly powerful and the retina display is so good that you won't even lay eyes on any other screen.
i think iMac is better.
i have mbp but i rarely move it around
imac is better la
Seems like the 17" Macbook Pro is being discontinued, don't see it in the apple online store anymore. In terms of CPU, iMac stands out well. As for GPU, you need to use 15" Macbook Pro to deck against the iMac. iMac can also customize to fushion storage, meaning flash and hard disk. If OS is loaded in the flash drive, everything would be much faster. I don't know if the flash storage Apple is using now is the flash drive, or is it SSD. Previous Apple Online Store, you can customize it to have HDD + SSD which is a brilliant combo.

If you decided to go for Macbook Pro, you can just change the ram yourself. It's more affordable that way. I upgraded mine to 8GB using Corsair's DDR3 ram.

By the way, if you are particular about the motherboard, iMac is using notebook's motherboard too if I am not wrong, hence the compact size.
It depends on how many document you are working in the same time iMac 27" give you more working space as it's 2560*1440, and the MBP 15 Retina is 2880*1800 by pixel but actually it's no difference than 1440*900 when you are talking about working space. if you don't need retina display to show more detail for photos/videos, don't take it.

I would recommend iMac 27, and the iPad/iPad mini would be better for moving around at home
