Ten Cate: Terry Wasn't Supposed To Take Penalty
Chelseaassistant boss Henk ten Cate has admitted that the club have been hithard by their Champions League penalty shoot-out defeat to ManchesterUnited last night.

After 120 minutes of an equally enthralling and energy-sapping battleof attrition in Moscow, the Blues were just a spot-kick away fromglory, only for captain John Terry to loose his footing at the mostinopportune of times, after which Edwin van der Sar became the hero bysaving from Nicolas Anelka.

"We were devastated to lose it like that," said Ten Cate.

"I thought that in the second half and extra-time that we were the better side.

"Wehad some good chances and were very unlucky. We hit the post and thecrossbar but penalties are a lottery and we got the short straw.

"The players have done a fantastic job this year.

"Especially if you look at the many critics they had, the manager especially.

"Theplayers had to cope with it every day and to come so far, and be betterover the 120 minutes against one of the best teams in the world, meansthat everyone at Chelsea can be proud."

Ten Cate went on toreveal that Terry was not originally supposed to be one of the firstfive penalty takers, but was promoted up the order because of DidierDrogba's expulsion.

"It was unbelievable," continued the ex Ajaxman. "He just slipped. We practiced penalties in training last week andhe was so confident - he took them all very well.

"So we werepretty confident. He was not in the first five but when it comes totake them, somebody might say 'I don't feel well, I prefer somebodyelse take it'."

this should be a mistaken from Grant....

why choose Terry as 5th penalty kicker....

mostly he will be fired!!
特里那么自责。。。没人摆他上台,他也觉得自己是罪人。。!!!
没办法啦,内疚啊
