some words about hung kyen tiger and crane form; my opinion

As the most respected mr lam sai wing has said. If you learn martial arts you should find a good teacher. that is because.. even if you get the description and explanation from the pictures and the text, it will be hard to fully understand the bridgeform and the movement and how to lean your body and the horse stand.

So at first you need to understand the stance the movement how to position your body and how to position your body in the way of the area. since this form is practiced in the fourth direction   south north and west and east. At first the practisioner needs to practise slowly with only the strench that is neccesary. If you add alot of strenght and speed by doing it wrong you will injure your body.

If you look at the video in youtube of the most respected mr chan hon djung there he demonstrate the tiger crane form. He shows a bridgeform nr 55 "eight step arrow fist" and he leans his right hand when he punches out. and that is also shown in the pics(photograph) of lam sai wing. there is only light no shadow to that fist. this is at most important if you learn the T C form from mr lam sai wing because if you dont do that eventually you will add tension and weight to your shoulder and there will be injuries if you practise a longer time. the same principal is showing at picture 71 "from inside a sleeve comes a powerful punch"

kung fu is actually a complex exercise that the stance and the bridgeform needs to be followed carefully and correct, in the book of T C mr Lam mentioned for example bridgehand 18 "twin dragon exits the sea" there is mentione in this bridgehand (from the bridgehand before that you`ve done the three outwards inwards pull after that, 一拍一標 and out. 標 is meant for your hands to follow a special pattern/ standard and it is not meant as to shoot out or like a dart to throw out. A special pattern there is.

the horse stance affects your bodys leaningpoint further after and also the feets movement to be correct. the bridge hand means the arms movement. as you punch out you are not allowed to punch fully out. that is because a straight punch like bridgehand "48 advancing stance powerful punch" you dont punch all out for a straightgoing punch if your arm punch all out it is working like a different unit away from your body there will be only the weins and the skin holding it in place. because you are actually streching you bones and shoulder joint.

Mr lam has mentioned for some bridgehand to have some particular rules "則"   規則

And there is some rules to be followed of the nutrision , and for the  血液 and the 氣 and 神, rest and eat proportionally in order to feel ready to practice
