From past experience,
1. Make sure linked your FB account with an email address that provide by an ISP (not free service), preferrable with provider using VPN.
2. Turn on the notification function in FB. In this case, you will received e-mail notifications from all friends.
3. To allow open facebook in China, make sure you saved your setting (login and pwd) in the laptop you will bring with your trip.
4. Log into the e-mail account and click on those links, 99% chance will allow you to access your FB without blockage.
I used this method to access FB while in China 9 months ago.
