Flying Frog Discovered In Vietnam

HANOI – The world is still full of marvelous creatures that have never been seen before and baffle biologists and scientists around the world.

Such is the case with the flying frog, discovered by Australian biologist Jodi Rowley and Vietnamese scientists, in the Southern Vietnam’s rain forest, less than 60 miles from Ho Chi Minh city.

Scientists discovered the ‘flying frog’ 3 years ago but have only been able to determine just recently they are dealing with a never before seen specie.

The 4.5 inches long, bright green with white underbelly colored amphibian was given the name ‘Helen’s Tree Frog‘ or Rhacophorushelenae, after Rowley’s mother who suffers from cancer.

Rowley, who works for the Australian Museum in Sydney, says they discovered the flying frog after trans-versing thick vegetation, huge waterfalls and rugged mountains.
