this is because 250 GTS will be replace the model of 9800GTX
250GTS and 9800GTX are using same GPU chip which G92.
however 250GTS core speed and memory speed is much better than 9800GTX...

both are the same old chip (G92(b))....
i will buy the cheaper 9800gtx....maybe it is better buy a gtx260 or radeon hd4850 ,it is only a little much expensive..

Really~~ I am looking for the vidoe card too. Also i am comparing GTS 250 and 9800 GT which one i should pick. Plus, is 512 Mb good enough for most games? Coz i can 't decide 1 Gb or 512M. please give a comment....

GTS 250 > 9800GTX+ > 9800GT
faster, about the same temperature and use slightly more power then a 9800GT.

512mb is fine if u dont set the texture setting too high. most game should be playable up to 1920x1200.

Thank you~ btw, coz I am only upgrade my computer, and I change the CPU intel Q9550 and Motherboard, Ram 4G and video card (still decide), Do i have to change the power suppily. I have no idea my old one whether enough support those hardward

Get a 550watt quality name brand power supply if you need to upgrade.

ATI HD4870  on sale $104.99, faster then GTX 260.

9800GTX+ = GTS 250 but it has board design change(all 1GB model and some 512m model) making it use less power and run cooler.
